What a beautiful place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights and were in a cottage close to the castle inn. It was gorgeous, spacious and we didn’t want to leave. The staff are amazing so helpful. Breakfast was delicious lots of choice. Tasting menu at Bybrook restaurant was out of this world definitely recommend !

We hired a private dining room for our Christmas Day lunch. It could not have been better. Pure indulgence of the highest quality. We had pre lunch drinks served in an adjoining private lounge, a meal that was absolutely delicious and served with the utmost care and professionalism accompanied by outstanding wine and champagne 🥂. The staff had decorated our room with a beautiful tree and laid crackers for all eight of us. The Manor House, both surroundings and atmosphere, are stunning and we utterly recomnend visiting, eating, or staying there. You won't forget it's charm and beauty.

Can’t wait to come back. Loved every minute. Yes it is pricey and you could probably find somewhere cheaper nearby but you can see where your money goes. From the moment you turn into the property and see the house - WOW. The pictures do not do it justice. The grounds with the river running through are beautiful. The main house is stunning with real log fire in the entrance with comfy sofas to relax. We stayed in one of the Mews cottages with our cat Pisco. He loved it. Running from the massive bathroom to the bedroom and back. He especially loved the bay window where he could watch the world and pose for pictures. Breakfast was great with some great al a carte options the eggs Royale was our favourite - add some black pudding you will not be disappointed. Unfortunately we stayed when the weather had been wet so couldn’t do any of the long walks due to the mud. Definitely will be back in the summer. For food the Castle Inn which they also own was unbelievable. We also ate at the Bybrook but I personally felt the Castle Inn was a better cost to quality option.

Can't remember when I've NOT wanted to leave a hotel so much! My husband and I stayed for only one night just before Christmas and it was the highlight of our festive season. The most gorgeous hotel with the most comfortable rooms and the most helpful and pleasant staff...it was a pure joy. And the food - delicious! So many little cozy nooks to sit with a glass of wine or a coffee (or a cocktail) and just chill. So glad we chose the Manor House; hopefully we will get back for a visit again soon!

My husband and I had such a wonderful weekend at this beautiful hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. The food at the restaurant was absolutely excellent - we savoured every single bite. The views were straight out of a fairy tale, truly perfect in every way.

Mon séjour a été tout simplement enchanteur. Niché dans le cœur du village captivant de Castle Combe, qui est sans doute l’un des plus beaux d’Angleterre, l’hôtel offre un cadre idyllique. Les jardins impeccablement entretenus, où nous avons eu la chance de jouer au cricket (un clin d'œil à Alice au Pays des Merveilles ;D), ajoutent une touche unique et ludique à l’expérience. L'intérieur de l'hôtel est tout aussi magnifique, avec une élégance intemporelle et un charme authentique. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux, mettant en avant des produits frais et savoureux, de quoi bien démarrer la journée. Un séjour parfait pour ceux qui recherchent à la fois luxe, tranquillité et immersion dans un décor de carte postale. The Manor House est un véritable bijou ! ^_^

We had a wonderful stay at the Manor House. Our suite “Dolittle” was lovely. The staff at the hotel were well trained and extremely polite and helpful. Special shout out for Owen in the bar and Laura on reception. Thank you

My wife and I came during the day while visiting Castle Comb and had a fantastic experience. The staff when out of their way to be friendly and engaging. We were struggling to get a taxi and the wonderful woman at reception called about 10 numbers to find us one. It was such a positive experience and I hope to come back one day.

Stayed at Manor house hotel and stayed in bullmead suite for my partners birthday. Amazing experience, the scenery, food and staff. Stayed in the suite that had a hot tub outside which had a lovely view.parking is free. Only 2minute walk to the little village that's in the war horse film. The breakfast was lovely, freshly made pastry. Had a drive down to Bath which was 20minutes to the town and ate at an Italian restaurant in the evening. The suite was also kitted with a Bluetooth speakers, dyson hairdryer, coffee machine. Everything was clean. Loads of areas to walk around. It's is worth the money for special occasions.

Un petit coin de paradis. L'ensemble du personnel forme une équipe parfaite, aux petits soins et compétente. Le séjour a été parfait dans un cadre exceptionnel. Les environs sont magnifiques. Chaque salon du Manor House est une invitation à la détente et la liberté des clients est totale. Les petits déjeuners sont somptueux et le bar très chaleureux. Les jardins sont une vraie merveille. Nous reviendrons très certainement.

Magnifique manoir, magnifique domaine et superbe chambre. Niveau qualité, propreté des infrastructures, rien à redire, tout est parfait, voire plus que parfait. Une très belle attention dans la chambre pour mon anniversaire avec bouteille de champagne et boîte de chocolats. Le petit déjeuner est excellent, de grande qualité et gargantuesque. Le barman est également très pro, serviable et agréable. Par contre, la qualité de l'accueil et du check-out pourrait être améliorée. L'accueil n'est pas des plus chaleureux bien que professionnel. Le personnel, au petit déjeuner, est très professionnel. Cependant, une personne était vraiment très froid, limite désagréable. Pour la qualité et le prix des prestations de l'hôtel, c'est dommage. La plus grande déception a été de ne pas pouvoir acheter la grande peluche Lionel the lion, qui se trouve dans toutes les chambres et, qui se trouve sur toutes les photos de l'hôtel. Il y a même un message attaché à son cou, précisant qu'il est à vendre à la réception. Or, à la réception, on nous dit que ce n'est pas possible, qu'il ne reste que le format intermédiaire. Quand on fait de la publicité partout, que l'on promet à son enfant de l"'adopter ", et qu'on final,.il n'y en a plus ou pas, je trouve ça limite non professionnel. Surtout lorsque l'on paie 600£ pour une nuit, la moindre des chose est de faire en sorte de trouver une solution pour le client

We spent 2 nights at The Manor House with dinner at The Bybrook Restaurant and at The Castle Inn. The tasting menus at the Bybrook were delicious (normal for my partner and vegan for me). Dinner at The Castle Inn was great as well. Our room was lovely and we both slept really well. The hotel and village are beautiful. Many lovely walks in the surrounding countryside and Bath is under 30 mins drive. The only area that I think the hotel could tweak is the breakfast service. We weren't allowed to order hot food until our drinks had arrived and they took a long time. We also had to order toast with the drinks but it would arrive with the food which we weren't allowed to order yet and then the toast didn't arrive. Beans arrived 15 mins after the cooked breakfast and the black pudding was burnt. Also some vegan yoghurt and a vegan pastry would be a nice addition to the continental breakfast spread. Overall we had a fabulous stay and will definitely come back.

Performed at a wedding here recently with the Cocktail Hour Jazz band. Very helpful and attentive staff, delicious food, wonderful cocktails served in the bar, and the decor is extremely pleasing. The setting is breathtaking. From the Virginia creeper on this beautiful old Manorhouse building, the tiered garden, the glinting water from river, deer roaming wild on the lawns. It’s like being in a movie set!

We took a 3 day break and stayed at Bakers Cottage as we were taking our dog. We wanted somewhere both quiet and beautiful for walks but where the Staff were relaxed. It did not disappoint. We had not been for a few years but it was even better than we remembered. The staff there always seem really happy and nothing is too much trouble. The cottage was cosy and perfect for our needs complete with a welcome pack. The dog had been left a towel, a bag of treats, a bed and some poo bags. In addition there is a warm water dog washing station 50 yards away. The grounds were immaculate, the food excellent and the Castle Inn Pub right on the doorstep. The Golf Club staff have hardly changed over the last 15 years, again a very relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful course in great condition with a couple of spectacular drop holes. It was a perfect relaxing break.
